There is literally NO better place in Aspen to get a sandhich than Annette's Bake Shop. The food here is fresh, super casual, and all the locals will recommend it. Order some of the macaroons (if you're lucky and they're not sold out), then get a cuban sandwich. You won't be disappointed!
Had an amazing porchetta sandwich!! We should do everything we can to keep Annette’s around!!!
Fantastic doughnuts, well worth reserving some
Great pastries and brilliant baking. The only place to help us in last minute birthday cake preparation. She is a real artist she was able to take pastries and turn them into a perfect amazing tasting cake! She saved the day and the cake was so good I would fly back just to get some more! This place is a staple of the town and is a must visit place!
Great people... Great food!
If your looking for a bakery this isn’t it. It’s not really a bakery. Don’t get the cookies, they are the worst. Bad service, very unfriendly, incredibly over-priced, bad quality. Maybe the sandwiches are good but I won’t be going back to find out.
If you're nice to them, they will be nice to you. It's worth it because the food is good.
Bland tasteless sandwich I didnt think the sauce complemented turkey at all, service was below average as well.
Absolutely spectacular doughnuts on Thursday afternoons. Just like the ones I had when I was a little girl!
Love these sandwiches, cash only
Against my better judgement I stopped by for some donuts. Though the door was open, I got an immediate rude response from the woman behind the counter “were not open till 12.” Pardon me, google said your hours were 930, two and a half hours later is a bit different, not to mention the door was open? Everywhere i work we keep the door locked till we’re open. Seems like this place just doesn’t want to be friendly
Great place, I loved it. They are really nice and a kid friendly bakery. I recommend it
Bad attitude, which I could deal with, but a massive oatmeal choco chip that must have been a couple of days old based on how stale it was. Premium price is fine but a bummer when the product is sub standard. And with a negative attitude on top!!No mas...
I love Annette's. I've lived here for the last 11 years and have seen Annette in multiple locations. She's always cranky to those who don't know her and she always makes amazing food. A legendary baker, her sandwiches always have a great base. Don't expect to be charmed but expect to be satisfied. Her partner, Fino Docimo, is one of the coolest dudes alive. Their cookies are off the charts good.
Good bread = good sandwiches
Every Saturday at 4pm you'll get the best soft pretzels you've ever had fresh out of the oven!
it was amazing
Amazing macaroons!!! The best 😃
Stopped in for an afternoon pick-me-up. Ordered a small latte with an extra shot. Lots of confusion as to what I wanted, but we figured it out, and darn it if it isn't the best latte I've had in a while. Need to go back and find out what coffee they're using! Had a ginger molasses cookie which was quite soft and delicious. 4 stars because a coffee and a cookie was $11.50! But still, I'm happy to support a local business rather than go to Starbucks. 😊
Cuban is delicious !!
It is a very small tight shop. We ordered 3 large cookies. They looked good. The lady at the counter was not very friendly. The cookies were several days old and hard and dry.
One of my favorite places for lunch in town. The owners are total characters who serve a good dose of New York sass with the food. If you want wait staff that grovels, this isn’t the place to go but if you want amazing Italian bakery items and delicious sandwiches, I highly recommend it.
Meh...cookie was okay. Service was a bit rude.
There's a sign behind the counter that says "I'm not rude, I'm just busy." Not true - she is extremely rude and it was unrelated to being busy as we were the only customers in the shop. By far the worst customer service experience I've had. Left feeling scoffed at, as if that's possible over bread. The muffin I bought was average. Luckily, the Saturday market down the street had absolutely delicious naked goods and friendly people.
TRUST IT IS A TRUE ARTIST OF ITALIAN ORIGINS!
Tried to have lunch there after one year. Last year i got an answer from anette in a quite rude way that her shop is still closed at 11.50 am. Shop opens officialy at 12( what a joke)... so yesterday we tried again as the bakery is nicely located in the center of town and you should support lical businesses. Same answer: not open yet at 11.30, then at 12 the man inside said rudely, no cards only cash while Anette tried to squeeze in behind my back ( i have to add, door is open you can go in but you dont get nothing except a rude short answer). She almost pushed me over. I guess they dont need any business and it was the last time i ll ever tried again. Arrogant attitude, bye Anette
Very tasty treats
